PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Sr. Quality Engineer will need to have a strong background in the Quality System Requirements for Medical Device manufacture and design. Technical background is important, and a Bachelor Degree is required, the technical engineering aspects of the position are as they apply to the QSR’s. Ensure compliance within the Quality System Elements as they apply to the QSR’s, while being a strong advocate for efficiency and adding value to the business. Understanding the best methods and being able to provide a wide range of recommendations to the teams as they work within the different Quality System Elements, such as Design/Design Transfer, Production Controls, Investigative Process Flow & Documentation within the CAPA System, Complaint and Non-Conforming Material Systems, etc.
The individual will need to have a well rounded background in all areas of the Quality System Elements of Medical Device manufacturing and design with at least one stronger area and skill set, such as Design Controls, Production Controls, Supplier Controls, etc. The individual will need to act as primary leader, consultant and mentor on the QSR’s for the other functional team members and junior QA personnel, especially in their strongest skill set QSR Element. These qualifications should be backed by a strong teaming background with excellent Documentation Practice’s as they apply to QSR record keeping, as well as very strong communication skills. Reviews progress, evaluating and reporting results. Makes and/or plans changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides support, leadership and guidance on the Quality System, specifically as it pertains to the Quality System Regulations and per defined procedure
* Acts in coordination and support for Corrective and Preventive actions as they pertain to assigned area(s), ensuring investigations through to root cause in concert with other departments (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.);
* Consults and provides guidance to other department personnel, Design, Process Control and Manufacturing Engineers, on the use of Quality Assurance tools, ensuring robust quality systems throughout the lifecycle of production test equipment;
* Supports Quality System Compliance by performing internal audits of the Quality System as assigned.
