The Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing designing and implementing systems that support standardized work using repeatable measurement systems
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work directly with process owners to design and implement process controls, standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Also assist process owners with development of performance measures.
• Gather and analyze data for quality improvement studies which relate to proper utilization of company labor, equipment, materials and facilities. Recommend and assist in implementation of changes to technology or business processes.
• Perform cost analysis in support of process modifications.
• Develop and implement internal and external measurement tools to assess process performance against standards.
• Communicate with appropriate company personnel at all levels, including presentations to groups and individuals and creation of reports and documents as required.
• Facilitate and/or lead cross-functional problem-solving projects regarding parts or processes to reduce costs, save time and improve customer/employee satisfaction.
• Perform statistical studies and create reports to ensure process control and/or develop process improvement.
• Implement and maintain plant SPC monitoring.
• Assist product engineering with evaluation of new designs, preparation of test programs and other quality-related activities.
• Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Maintain Gauge Calibration program.
• Initiate and follow through on supplier and customer complaint investigations and resolutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in business, quality management, math, engineering or related field.
• ASQ-certified engineer preferred but not required.
• At least three years experience in a quality-related field required.
• Experience as a Quality Auditor, Supervisor and/or Trainer preferred but not required.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Demonstrated effective organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistical tools such as SPC, histograms, control charts, capability studies, etc.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction.
• Demonstrated proficiency with problem-solving tools and techniques.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least 10%

Quality Manager
Company: Our client is a well-established, growing division of a privately held manufacturing and engineering firm and is located in the Milwaukee-Madison area. This business focuses on fabricating components for OEMs and is noted for the quality of its products and its customer sensitivity.
Position: The responsibility of the Quality Manager is to oversee all quality aspects of the company’s products, as well as implementing methods for improving the quality of their products, along with ensuring documentation. This position requires a working knowledge of ISO 9001, strong leadership skills and the ability to organize and motivate the operations team to effectively and efficiently attain operational goals while focusing on continuous improvement. Main Responsibilities:
· Direct the company ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System.

Candidate Requirements:
Management/Technical Skills
· A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality or a related technical field is required. An advanced technical degree or an MBA is a plus.
· Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Assurance for manufacturing, as well as SPC, MSA, process stability, FMEA, capability studies, etc.
· Six Sigma/Lean concepts
· 10+ years experience in quality engineering and management in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience supervising, training and developing direct reports is a must have.
· Experience leading or supporting ISO 9001 certification is highly desired.
· ASQ training and certification required.
· Experience in metal fabrication is preferred.
· Eight to 10 years experience with inspections (mechanical, dimensional, visual).
· Knowledge of specific testing requirements to support international shipping of products.
· Broad-based knowledge of fabrication and machining procedures and defects.
Interpersonal Skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with all team members as well as other departments.
· Effective leadership skills are an absolute must. Must be an open door manager and accessible to associates at all levels.
· Must have strong verbal communication abilities and be comfortable interfacing with customers and executive management.

· Introducing employees to the tools of continuous improvement and working with them on the application of tools to their job and/or project team setting. Facilitating project team meetings, 5S, process/value stream mapping exercises, kaizen events, etc.
The ideal candidate for this position must have:
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Sales/Marketing, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing or Materials Management or Engineering.
· Minimum 2 years experience in working within a Lean or Continuous Improvement process, guiding or assisting teams in reaching their goals.
